PM Modi seems to be a true believer of UNITY in diversity. No wonder, he has adopted, rather hijacked different things from different political parties. BekaarNews gives you a break-up:
Congress: From the grand old party, Modi has taken Sardar Patel, and has dedicated the Run For UNITY to the leader. He’s also pledged to build the Statue of UNITY. The party has also accused him of usurping the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi via the Swachh Bharat campaign.
Shiv Sena: From Shiv Sena, Modi has stolen its biggest icon, Chhatrapati Shivaji. In his election rallies in Maharashtra, Modi had invoked the Maratha warrior on several occasions.
AIADMK (Jaya): From Jayalalithaa, Modi has borrowed the name Jaya. Didn’t get it? Well, the PM recently adopted a village called JAYAPUR near Varanasi, and promised to develop it.
AAP: The biggest blow has come to AAP, who’s lost its election symbol to Modi — the JHADU. Having seized the broom from AAP, Modi launched the Swachh Bharat campaign.
