Shiv Sena – Naseeruddin Shah face off has a “Sarfarosh” twist

It seems Shiv Sainiks presumed that the character of “Gulfam Hassan” played by Naseeruddin Shah in the movie Sarfarosh is indeed the true personality of Shah in his real life.

For Shah life has come a full circle, where the character played by the versatile actor has come to haunt him in his real life.
The actor yesterday said that he was being targeted by certain right wing fringe elements because he was a Muslim. Shah had supported the controversial book launch of former Pakistan’s foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri.

Recently Pakistan’s noted Ghazal singer, Ghulam Ali cancelled his concert in Mumbai after Shiv Sena threatened to disrupt the show. Shiv Sena workers further threatened to disrupt the book launch of Kasuri event and eventually blackened the face of noted journalist Sudheendra Kulkarni.

Perhaps Shah has realised that time has come for him to play more patriotic characters like in China Gate and A Wednesday.
