Defence minister Manohar Parrikar confirmed that the balloons that were shot by IAF fighter planes, have come from Pakistan. Media reports tell us that the balloons might have been used as a decoy or might have been used as dry run for something bigger. Some even say that balloons were used for reconnaissance purpose.

While Narendra Modi was in a little hurry to get back home, Nawaz Sharif might have felt sorry for his friend from India that though he enjoyed the birthday cake, he couldn’t enjoy bursting the balloons. Almost a month later, the Pak PM decided to send few helium balloons for our PM Narendra Modi. But what Nawaz Sharif expected to be a fun filled activity for Modi, turned out to be a damp squib.
